Hiring a lawyer prior to the arraignment can be extremely beneficial to you. Your lawyer can contact the State Attorney's Office and try to convince them not to file charges against you. If you hire an attorney prior to the arraignment, you do not have to appear in court, as Florida Law allows your attorney to appear on your behalf.

An experienced attorney can determine whether the state has the evidence to prove its case, even though you believe you are guilty.
